About Us
Dr. Phillip C. Neal
Dr. Neal has practiced dentistry in the McHenry Country area for over 30 years. After graduating from Harper College, Dr. Neal attended Northern Illinois University before earning his DDS from the the University of Illinois College of Dentistry.
Active in the local community, Dr. Neal has served residents of area nursing homes and held a position on the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. He participated in the local Jaycees and received awards for community service in public speaking, community blood drives, and the Key Man honor. In the past, Dr. Neal worked with the Riverwoods Christian Center to provide dental care for children in need as well as holding several leadership positions in church. As well, Dr. Neal and his wife make an annual trip to Honduras for a week to serve in the inner city of Tegucigalpa, providing free dental care through World Gospel Outreach.
To continue his professional education, Dr. Neal keeps up with the latest developments in general dentistry, implant dentistry, laser dentistry, CEREC: "Crowns in a day", orthodontics, periodontal, endodontic, pediatric, and cosmetic dentistry. He has amassed hundreds of hours of continuing education courses, and Dr. Neal encourages the staff to participate in these courses as well.

Dr. Neal and wife Shauna, who have six children and two grandchildren, live in Woodstock with their two boxers. In his free time, Dr. Neal enjoys computers, biking, music, camping, and fishing.

Our Team
Shauna, Office Manager
For eight years, Shauna has served as our office manager. She has received her
business management certification through the New York School of Dentistry given
by Jameson Management. Shauna loves helping people overcome their fears and
making their experience positive. Married to Dr. Neal, they have six children
and two grandchildren. She likes crochet, camping, and church activities.
Jennifer RDH, Registered Dental Hygienist
After earning her degree from Loyola University, Jennifer began her career as an RDH
15 years ago and joined our group four year ago. Her desire to become a hygienist
began at nine, and Jennifer loves giving her patients the knowledge that allows
them to achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. Jennifer and her husband have been married
for seven years, and they have two young daughters. Her hobbies include needlework,
reading, and Pilates.
Jonna RDH, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jonna received her associate's degree in dental hygiene and has worked in our office
for 13 years. She feels passionately about the thorough care we provide and loves the
team camaraderie. Happily married, Jonna has one daughter and one son. In her spare
time, she likes to walk, read, camp, and play with her kids.
Cindy, Business Administrator
Cindy has been in the business administration/customer service field for over twenty five years. She helps our front office run smoothly. Her favorite aspects of working at Crystal Lake Dental Associates are meeting new patients and maintaining relationships with existing patients. She is currently completing her associate’s degree. An animal lover, Cindy is president of the Husky Rescue Alliance. She has two sons and three grandchildren. In her free time, Cindy likes quilting, gardening, and reading.
Carol, Business Administrator
Carol brings a specialty in insurance and collections to the office. She enjoys her position at Crystal Lake Dental Associates and is happy to help patients and their family members with any questions or concerns they may have on their account including payment options. Her Favorite interests are music and photography, which she shares with her husband of twenty years.
Annette, Clinical Assistant
Annette is our lead dental assistant. She has been with us for since August of 2011. She especially enjoys helping out patient feel comfortable as they receive treatment to attain a healthy smile. Annette and her husband enjoy spending time with their 4 children and 2 grandchildren. She also enjoys biking, baking and taking long walks with her "goldendoodle" (dog) named Sophie.
Octavio, Clinical Assistant
Octavio is one of our dental assistants. He startedh is career helping Dr. Neal in Honduras on a Medical Mission trip. He is an enthusiastic member of our team with a great sense of humor. He is a true asset to the patients as he is bilingual.
Octavio and his wife are very busy with 2 small children. He enjoys spending time with his family , cooking and church activities.
Alex, Clinical Assistant
Alex came to our office after finishing her dental assisting program here in Crystal Lake. Her cheerfulness and care for our patients has been a great addition to our team. In her free time she likes spending time with her baby girl and family
