New software helps us utilize medical insurance for certain procedures
Some dental procedures actually are considered medical procedures and as such may be covered by your medical insurance plan. If we determine that the nature or the care you are receiving falls into the category of medical coverage, we are able to utilize your medical insurance if the plan you have covers that procedure. Some examples are injuries, abscesses, impacted teeth, some dental implants, sleep apnea appliances, TMJ and headache related appliances. The rocess of utilizing medical insurance is not straight forward and so most dental offices do not even try to get medical coverage.
