Crowns in an Hour

Dr. Neal demonstrating the CEREC
You go to the dentist because of toothache, or maybe for your bi-annual checkup, and you get the bad news: you need a crown. You'll have to schedule two appointments - one for preparation and placement of a temporary crown, and one for placement of the permanent crown. Do you have that kind of time to spare? Between the appointments, your temporary crown could crack or fall out, and then you'd have to make yet another trip to the dentist. A crown is important, though, so you shouldn't delay treatment. A crown can salvage a tooth that may otherwise have to be removed and replaced with a prosthetic.

Emax the new all ceramic "high strength" crown.
CEREC technology along with the new Emax allows us to fabricate a crown in about 2 hours that is 3 times as strong as the conventional original all ceramic crowns. This technology utilizes a crystallization process in our glazing oven. If you cannot stay for the entire appointment, we can still fabricate a temporary crown and have the final Emax crown ready in a day or two instead of the usual 2-3 weeks. The unique strength properties make it ideal for back molars and people with very heavy bites.
